Yasmien Yuson Kurdi-Soldevilla or most commonly known as Yasmien Kurdi is the first runner up of the first season of “Starstruck”.
She opened her house to the public in 2008 during her interview with YES! Magazine and she shares how she ended up choosing a native-themed house.
Known to be an advocate of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), the Kapuso actress-singer has been a complete vegan since 2006 and is clearly devoted to her passion and love for animals.
The 29-year-old Kapuso actress-singer’s native-themed living room is accented with locally produced furniture made of bamboo. She emphasized her goal of not using leather sofas in her support of PETA’s advocacy.
Yasmien often cooks her own food, too. Known as a vegan, she usually makes healthy yet sumptuous dishes out of veggies and other healthy food choices.
Just like any other artist, her closet is filled with plenty of clothes mainly from her brand endorsements.
Her beach-themed bedroom was designed by her uncle, Rodolfo Yuson Jr. She chose bright colored bed sheets to match her theme and separated her workout space from her sleeping space using curtains detailed with beads and shells.
Her fitness area consists of a stationary bike and a treadmill from Dra. Vicki Belo.
This is the area where Yasmien usually stores her awards from various awarding ceremonies and competitions that she has joined over the years.
Her veranda, which is located on the second floor of her house, also has a similar theme, enclosed by bamboos and filled with plants, both hanging and potted, and finished with a mini water fountain made out of stone. She considers this part of her house as her zen zone where she usually spends most of her free time doing some work. This is also the part of her house where she bonds with her family and friends.
