Millions of people from all over the world highly anticipated this year’s Royal Wedding. This goes especially to the wife, Meghan Markle. As the new Duchess of Sussex, she was expected to stand out just like Kate Middleton and Princess Diana. And while no bride is not like the other, she easily caught up to the female royalties — if not outshined them.
On Saturday, May 19, Meghan shocked the world as she showed up to the wedding looking like a true princess. She donned a simple Givenchy silk floor-length cady gown that best complemented her imposing five-meter long lace veil. To top it all off was a Queen Mary’s diamond bandeau tiara lent by the Queen herself.
According to a research by Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP), the gown cost $430K or 22 million in Philippine Peso.
By now, you’re probably obsessing over Meghan’s wedding look, and we totally understand. But, can we say that her gown for the after-party is well worth the hype, too?
Following the Royal Wedding, Meghan and her husband Prince Harry changed into their after-party ensembles for the wedding reception. This time, the bride wore a Stella McCartney high-neck lily white gown in silk crepe. Believe us when we say you’re not alone in reckoning that the look is not so original. Such getup, best written by PEP, reminds us of “old Hollywood glamor” — a mix of vintage and romantic.
But, there was the ultimate catch: her aquamarine ring that originally belonged to Princess Diana. Simply stunning.
