Fresh graduate on his party life back in college: “Sumuka, pero Summa”

Ne-Yo was certainly onto something when he said, “Work hard, play hard. Keep partying like it’s your job.” You can ask Jolan Aniban Ubaldo, a fresh graduate from Saint Louis University who is by now everyone’s millennial legend.

The guy wrote a simple but rather hilarious speech on Facebook, enough to reach over 23,000 netizens in no time.

Along with two photos — a graduation photo and one taken from a night out with friends — he wrote:

“Salamat sa lahat ng bumuhat sa akin sa mga panahong hilong-hilo ako at hindi ko alam ang gagawin. Salamat sa lahat ng C2-gin na nagpalakas sa akin.”

The best part? The title of his speech that makes for a great yearbook quote:

Sumuka pero Summa

Yes, you read it right. Ubaldo, despite having partied hard in college, graduated as a summa cum laude of his batch. And that’s saying something with his degree in B.S. in Mechanical Engineering! Is this guy Superman or what?!

Meanwhile, thousands of netizens, most especially his age, had quite a lot to say about Ubaldo.

With just a simple graduation speech, the graduate is now being looked up to as the “lodi”.

Here’s to you, Jolan!
