In contrast to his ill-tempered and sulky villain roles in soap operas and movies, veteran actor Michael De Mesa is actually a loving father of six, a doting grandfather of five, and faithful husband to his one and only wife, Julie Reyes-Eigenmann.
In case you’re not familiar with her, Julie was a former member of Manila’s premier jazz dance ensemble “Hotlegs” who became popular during the late ’80s.
And just recently, on June 24, the happy couple marked their 17th year of being together. To celebrate, Michael de Mesa shared a simple yet very meaningful message for his wife on Instagram. He wrote:
“When we started dating, we didn’t know what was in store. We said, let’s go for it and see where it will take us. 17 years later, we are still together and going strong. Happy anniversary Hana [julie_eigenmann]! Thank you for the past 17 years and looking forward to many more. I love you!”

As a matter of fact, during their Taiwan trip on March 31, netizens were gushing over their sweet photo taken in front of the Golden Waterfalls in Taipei. This was after Michael expressed his love to Julie via an Instagram post that reads:
“I want to travel the world with you, Mrs. Eigenmann! I love you so much! ”
If that’s not #forever, we don’t know what is.
