Singer Gary Valenciano reveals he is suffering from a serious kidney illness

People are aware that Gary Valenciano is “Mr. Pure Energy“. His lively performances brought him to stardom and earned him the admiration of thousands of fans. Sadly, the renowned performer shocked many when he revealed that he suffers from an abnormal cell growth in the kidney.

Just this May, Gary had to undergo heart surgery. That was the moment when doctors discovered his severe illness. The 53-year old actor will reveal more about his health condition in an episode of “Rated K” to be aired this Sunday.

A sneak peak of the upcoming episode went live on Friday and it shocked viewers. However, on a recent Twitter post, Gary reassured his fans that he is now doing “ok.”

The multi-talented singer had to undergo a heart surgery in order to fix his anterior descending artery that got blocked because of diabetes. Even before his revelation, Gary openly talks about his struggle with diabetes.

In a previous interview with ABS-CBN, Gary revealed that he has been battling with this life-threatening illness since he was only 14 years old. At that time, he already had a total of 9,000 insulin shots in his lifetime. In 2005 however, he faced his worst hypoglycemic attack.

Gary’s feature on “Rated K” will be aired this Sunday, July 7, 2018.
