According to Police Chief Inspector Brian Gregorio of Philippine National Police (PNP), cases of acid throwing are usually driven by retribution. The police officer shared his knowledge in this type of incident with the recent episode of Bitag Official.

Moreover, the police chief inspector added that the assailant’s psychological aspect plays a huge part in this unlawful act.

Bitag featured a lineup of acid throwing victims, who aren’t really abreast with one another’s identity but have succumbed to similar plight. Among them is Raymond Rodriguez, a 30-year-old call teller whose long-term rapport with his former partner ended up abhorrently.
Basing it on his narration, he and his ex-girlfriend Beejay’s relationship was once blissful. However, the latter’s possessiveness gradually came out, hindering him from playing sports or hanging out with his friends. For the longest time that he suffered from a manipulative partner, Raymond finally has had enough.
