The cliché “love is blind” may have contradicting interpretations, but for this married couple, love really is blind in its figurative and literal sense.
Every cloud has a silver lining, and for Roberto and Rowena, it was having found each other in their literal dark days. Inspired to hold onto this love, the two then decided to tie the knot and, before they knew it, gave life to a beautiful son.
While we have yet to hear more on “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho” later this evening, we can’t help but be in awe of this blind partners’ incredible love story.

In Mali, another blind couple has been the subject of headlines for their admirable love story. In spite of their visual impairment, Paul Musyoki and Jacinta Syombua have been married for over 20 years, something that the wife was proud of during her interview with Nairobi News.
“It may strike you as odd that we live together without seeing each other. But we feel each other and bond so normally. But I would not blame you. I would also feel confused to imagine that we were to regain our eyesight and start seeing each other face to face.”
Another blind couple in England, Claire Johnson and Mark Gaffey, are a testament to the possibilities of love. See, the two English met at a training course, largely thanks to their guide dogs, Venice and Rodd. From what should be mere play doggie dates spurred an unexpected romance between the pet owners.
“I have no doubt that our guide dogs brought us together and helped me find my true love. Much like our two guide dogs, we really are best friends and soul mates.”
