Vice Ganda made yet another reference to the rivaling network, GMA, as he was live on “It’s Showtime“.
Last Friday, the comedian and co-host Mariel Rodriguez delightfully exchanged their favorite local TV shows as they interviewed a “Tawag Ng Tanghalan” contestant. Among them were “Anna Liza”, “Lovingly Yours, Helen”, and, “Villa Quintana”, which were all the rage in the ’90s.

Then, in a quipping manner, Amy Perez intervened to question why most of the series mentioned were aired on Channel 7. In his answer, Vice Ganda told a shocking revelation about his early days in showbiz.
“Hindi, ang galing naman kasi talaga ng Channel 7 noon. At saka, diyan ako nagsimula, e.”
Yes, in 2005, the Unkabogable Star, it appears, landed his first showbiz exposure in Kapuso television series, “Saang Sulok ng Langit“.
“Di ba walang nakakaalala? Kahit nga GMA di nila naalala na galing ako doon. Hahaha!”

This isn’t the first time that Vice Ganda risked a controversy by mentioning GMA-7 on “It’s Showtime”. For fun, he once reenacted Kapuso hit love team AlDub, comprising of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza. He also joked that viewers should flip the channel to watch “Eat Bulaga!” when a technical problem suddenly occurred on the noontime show.
