Pinoy father and his daughters lost their lives in a car accident in US

It’s a tragic day for the Trinidad family who are both settled here and overseas. Last week, 61-year-old Audi Marquez Trinidad and his four daughters, Kaitlyn, 20; Danna, 17; twins Allison and Melissa, 13, left this world in a blink of an eye due to a car accident that occurred in Townsend, Delaware, in the U.S.

According to our sources, Mary Rose Ballocanag Trinidad is the only survivor of the devastating road mishap. The 53-year-old woman is currently recovering in the hospital due to serious injuries. The family’ relatives in Delaware said that they were just on their way home from a beach vacation.

Based on the initial investigation of the authorities, the family’s vehicle was traveling across the Delaware Highway when a pick-up truck crossed the road and hit them.

Audi’s brother, Danny Trinidad, flew in from Florida when he heard the tragic news. In an interview with CBS New York, he shared how much his brother loves his family.

In a blink of an eye, we lost everything. My brother is a fun-loving family man. He loves his family that’s why they all go out during summer break. He takes his kids.” 

Last week, hundreds of friends of the Trinidad family lighted their candles and left flowers at the Votee Park in Teaneck, New Jersey to show their support for the bereaved family. Meanwhile, an online fundraising campaign is still ongoing for Ballocanag’s medical expenses. As of now, investigators are still looking into what caused the tragic accident.
