Fans commended Robin Padilla for his down-to-earth attitude when it comes to mingling with his fans. The action star posted a series of videos of him walking around the Fort Santiago in Intramuros, Manila. As he walked around the paved streets, fans who noticed him asked to have photos taken with him.
Consequently, the “Sana Dalawa Ang Puso” actor gave in to his fans’ requests without any hesitations. He even talked casually to some fans who looked for his wife, Mariel Rodriguez.
Robin visited the Walled City to listen to a lecture by Xiao Chua a UP history professor. The actor learned about the history of the “La Liga Filipina,” a progressive group created by Dr. Jose Rizal. He also posted photos of him and his fans who shared this educational experience with him.

The public knows Robin Padilla has a great interest and passion for Philippine history. Recently, he attended a public bidding of four Katipunan letters of Andres Bonifacio. Each letter had a starting bid of P500,000. Moreover, the letters were all sold to successful bidders with a collective price amounting to P16.2 million.
However, Robin went home empty-handed for having lost the bid in all letters. The letters’ original owner, Jaime Ponce de Leon, told Inquirer that the action star felt devastated for his loss.
Recently, Robin Padilla drew flak from social media following his comment to one of the female contestants of “Pilipinas Got Talent.” People criticized him for questioning the acrobatic ability of the contestant and deemed his question as anti-feminist.
“Gusto ko lang malaman mo na gustong gusto ko na meron sayong nag-aassist sayo na lalaki ngayon. Isang malaking bagay na makita ko ang assistant mo may lalaki diyan sa baba, hindi man katabi mo pero assistant mo.”
