Thai rescue team gains commendation for saving a soccer team trapped inside a cave

Closely for the last three weeks, the whole world has followed the news from Thailand about an entire soccer team trapped inside a cave.

On June 23, twelve boys aged 11 to 17 along with their 25-year-old assistant coach explored the Tham Luang Nan Non cave in Chiang Rai province of northern Thailand. Unfortunately, due to heavy seasonal rains in the area, they were left stuck inside the flooded cave. After going missing for nine days, rescuers finally discovered the Wild Boar soccer team on July 2.

Since then, the rescue team composed of 90 divers were all determined to rescue the 13 individuals trapped underground.  Amidst the heavy rain in the area,  the team appears not to have significantly slowed its progress.
