Star Circle Quest Batch 1: How are they doing 14 years after the show?

The first season of Star Circle Quest aired some 14 years ago. It produced 11 complete batches which more than 200 stars participated in. Still, the most iconic and remembered batch would be the first one. As an estimated 10 thousand auditioned to participate, but ultimately only 10 hopefuls had made it to the Final 10.

You actually still see some of these stars to this date, although it’s easy to forget that they were once part of the search for talent show. Do you think you remember these people who that began their roots in hte show that gave everybody the chance to shine? Let’s see!

First of the bat is Neri Naig, who is now married to Parokya Ni Edgar vocalist Chito Miranda. The two have married twice in a civil ceremony and in a formal wedding ceremony in Tagaytay the following day. The two now have a gorgeous baby boy. Furthermore, before settling to the mom life Neri starred in some notable movies and television series like D’Anothers, Wako Wako, Dream Dad and most recently, All of Me.

Michelle Madrigal was also one of the hopefuls who had the opportunity to prove themselves through the talent search, but had only made it to the top 8 of the show. She has since moved past that when she was cast in the fantasy thriller series Spirits where she starred alongside Rayver Cruz. She also briefly moved to Kapuso Network when Annabelle Rama took her under her wing as her manager. In 2015, Michelle returned to ABS-CBN and appeared in Pasion de Amor where she starred alongside Jake Cuenca, Arci Munoz, Ellen Adarna and Coleen Garcia. She is now a mother too!

Joseph Bitangcol may not be a familiar name, but is certainly a familiar face. Just like Michelle, Joseph starred in Spirits which was directed by Chito Rono, moved to GMA Network where he starred in the television drama titled Saan Darating Ang Umaga? and then went back to ABS-CBN for May Bukas Pa.

Roxanne Guinoo made it to the Final 5 14 years ago, as she placed 3rd all in all. Her big break came after she was cast in a leading role on the drama series Natutulog Ba ang Diyos? Where she starred alongside Jake Cuenca, whom she dated briefly. After that, she starred in her first solo role in ABS-CBN with a show entitled Ligaw Na Bulaklak before living for GMA Network and shortly after back to ABS-CBN again. She got engaged and married to a Filipino Chinese man named Elton Yap with whom she has a daughter with.

Joross Gamboa ranked one number lower than Roxanne and was the 4th all in all. Like most of his colleagues, he worked for both TV stations but is currently back in his home network. Joross mostly starred in several films like D’Anothers, My Amnesia Girl, Starting Over Again, Can’t Help Falling In love amongst many other films. Most recently, he was cast in ABS-CBN’s La Luna Sangre and landed a guest role in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
